TEFILLAH/PRAYERS:

Grades: K-6
Younger children participate in an interactive prayer circle. The children give tzedakah, say the Shema and sing traditional Jewish prayers. Grade 1 and up pray from a special siddur designed for student of their age group. They learn to chant traditional prayers in an enthusiastic communal setting.

 

ALEPH CHAMP:

Grades: K-6
Our students learn to read and write Hebrew using the acclaimed Aleph Champ Program; a karate motivated system where reading levels are divided by color and students move from the level to level, color by color at their own pace. At our Hebrew School, Hebrew reading becomes FUN.

 

HEBREW LANGUAGE:

Grades K-6
Students learn basic Hebrew words such as colors, numbers, family members through songs. In addition, we learn a Hebrew song for every Jewish holiday.

 

MY JEWISH TREASURE:

Grades: K-2
“My Jewish Treasure” invites students to discover the rich treasures of Judaism that make being Jewish so meaningful. Each week, students will dive into stories, values, and traditions that highlight treasures from our past, within themselves, and around the world. As children collect “treasure tokens” each week to fill their own personal treasure box, they’ll also be uncovering the tools to become their best selves: kindness, confidence, and a lifelong connection to the gifts of their Jewish heritage.

 

ISRAEL QUEST:

Grades: 3-6
“Israel Quest” will take students on an unforgettable journey through Jewish history, tracing the story of the Jewish people from their arrival in the Land of Israel to the building of the Beit Hamikdash and beyond. Through hands-on workshops, interactive storytelling, and creative projects that bring the past to life, they’ll uncover the heroic strength of our people and the keys to the enduring bond between the Jewish people and our homeland.

JEWISH HOLIDAYS:

Grades: K-6
Each year, our students' knowledge and experience of the holidays is deepened and broadened. Fun and enriching lessons make holidays unforgettable make at Chabad Hebrew School!

 

SHKALIM:

Grades: K-6
Each student can earn Shkalim (Torah coins) and receive awesome prizes at the end of each Hebrew School session.

 

JEWQ:

Grades: 3-6
Our students have the opportunity to learn additional Jewish information on their own time. 3 tests are taken at Hebrew School. Each student that averages over 70% on the 3 qualifying tests becomes a champion- and the champions are the lucky ones that can participate in a grand trip / receive a special prize! All champions who score over 70% on all three tests will also qualify to join the JewQ annual Shabbaton in NYC!
