Shavuot at Uptown Chabad!

Saturday May 19 - Monday May 21, 2018

Rabbi's Message

Dear Friend,

3,330 years ago, the children of Israel stood as one nation at the foot of Mount Sinai and received the Torah from G‑d.

Each year on the holiday of Shavuot, this historic event is re-experienced as the Ten Commandments are read from the Torah.

Join us at the Uptown Chabad Family Shul (and Wilmington Park!) to celebrate the Jewish People's receiving of the Torah, our national treasure and heritage.

The Rebbe encouraged children of every age to hear the reading of the 10 Commandments. Come and bring the kids!

Please note that we recite the Yizkor memorial service on Monday, the 2ndday of Chag (see schedule below). You can make a Yizkor donation at UptownChabad.com/donate.

Please find our holiday schedule as well as Shavuot How-To, insight and inspiration below.

May we accept the Torah with joy and sincerity!

— Rabbi Moshe & Yehudis Steiner
